Watercolor Leaf Rubbings
Yesterday was one of those gorgeous autumn days when the sky is crystal clear blue, the perfect background for the changing leaves. I was reminded of a simple project we did last year that came out so beautifully. We'll be doing it again this week and I also wanted to share it with you!
Here's how to do it:
1. Go for a walk and enjoy the beautiful autumn - collect freshly fallen leaves to bring home!
2. Put leaves under watercolor paper and rub over the paper with the long side a of a crayon to make magical leaf drawings appear. Block crayons work perfectly for this.
3. Paint over the whole page in blue watercolor.
We're also enjoying our Halloween circle this month and starting to make our costumes - so far both girls want to be autumn leaf fairies. Happy October to you! :)
